Today was my 10 week checkup. Everything looks/sounds great. We got to hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time- and we’re in love already. I forgot how sweet it is to hear the fast little beating of your baby’s heart. Makes me want to go out and buy one of the doppler things they use so I can listen to the heartbeat everyday…. I know, I’m over the top.
One thing it doesn’t make me want to do is have another baby after this one. I’m almost 100% sure we’re done after this. And that thrills me beyond words. To just think of selling or giving away my aging maternity wardrobe and all the baby gear that we’ve had to hold on to for four years makes me a little giddy! Our family will be complete with this little one. We’ll all be present and ready to move forward as a family. How exciting. Now, only 30 more weeks (or 29 as my history goes) and I will never be pregnant again! :)
Here’s the beginning of our weekly belly picture. And don’t worry- I’ll never ever post a bare belly shot. That just isn’t me. More power to all that take them and post them with pride, but I will not be participating!
Just in case you’re wondering- I didn’t show until about 6 months with Amai or Ashe. I have a feeling this one will “pop” much sooner. Oh and just for the record, my gut feeling is that it’s a girl. Not that that counts much.
