I’m still here…

Just crazy busy.

I don’t have anything grand to report.  I’m just staying really busy with our kids.  This season of life has been all about purposely slowing down so I can just enjoy it all.  So often I hear myself talking about how hard things are, or how tired I am, how crazy the kids can be.  But I truly just love them and know that they are growing so fast.  In the blink of an eye, they will be all grown up.  So I am soaking in these days while they still kind of fit in my lap.  Oh how I love my babies.

Slowing down.  I recently took a break from MOPS.  And I’ve been saying “no” to all sorts of things that could take me away from home.  It’s been quite glorious.  I highly recommend a short season of “no”- it’s one of the most empowering things you’ll ever do.  We have been baking, having family movie nights, rediscovering playdough, building pillow forts, raking and playing in leaf piles, making meals for friends, trying to do better at staying in touch with our loved ones.  Taking lots of pictures.  It’s been pretty awesome.  True- I am more busy than I ever have been just by having 3 kids at such busy stages.  But I’ve never felt more blessed.

Chris and I celebrated our 7th anniversary on October 20th.  Thanks to his parents, we got to go out to a nice dinner.  Sadly, we were so tired that particular day that we were completely full and back home by about 9.  It was great though.  I love that man- oh how I love him!

Here are quite a few pics.  I want to post a ton of pics soon and really update this blog, but am going to wait until I’ve gotten more of them organized and edited.  Sorry about the weird pixelated images.  I just previewed this post and they look pretty bad.  Will do better next time, I uploaded differently this time and apparently it didn’t turn out so well.  Nevertheless…
