Asher’s 2nd Birthday Party
Well, the party was great. We worked really hard all week at various thing around the house, and just getting life done in general- so by this morning I was completely exhausted. I am going to have to rest today so I can get my energy back for the week to come.
For the first time, we had a family only birthday party. I have to say that I am a huge fan of this. There were just enough people and kids here to keep everything lively, but not so many that our air conditioner couldn’t keep the house cool. You know what I’m talking about- when you have so many bodies heating up the space that your ac can’t keep things cool. It’s fun to have a large crowd, but not so fun when everyone is sweating.
We kept it very simple this year, and as my kids get older (and I keep having more of them) I think the parties will become increasingly so as the years go on. I didn’t prepare way too much food, and I got a delicious cupcake-cake from Walmart (of all places) for only 13 bucks. It was great. Here are a few highlights. You can check out the entire set through the link to our flickr account. Enjoy!
