Good read…

As many of you know, I simply love to read. My idea of relaxing is curling up in a comfortable chair with a book. I love the library and go there very often- I just love to read. When I was young, I had a friend that loved to read as well, and we actually used to go to each other’s houses to sit and read together. (I won’t mention her name so as to keep her inner nerd a secret.)

So one of the latest books I have read is called “The Shack” by William P. Young. It’s a really interesting story about a man whose daughter is kidnapped and presumably killed in a shack. Much later, he mysteriously gets a note from God asking him to meet God at that shack the following weekend. So he goes and meets God at the shack and it is really interesting. I don’t agree with every bit of the theology behind it, but I really liked the whole story. It is essentially about God meeting us in the very center of pain and suffering- in order to heal the depth of our wounds.

Happy reading! I’m off for a girls’ night out…
