Mondays are usually pasta nights because of Chris’s weekly indoor soccer game. He loads up on carbs and then has to wait until an ungodly hour to go run to his heart’s content. The kids are fond of pasta night, though I think Ashe is much more into it than Amai is. She will eat it, he devours it- as you can see. This is from tonight…

Our Easter was lovely this year. I had a lot going on Friday and Saturday and rushed all over the metroplex with birthday parties, seeing friends and family, and finally getting to spend Sunday with our little family. Chris took these of the kids one of the mornings I was gone. Notice Amai’s first choice for clothing.

I even got to see Amy Grant and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra perform on Saturday night, thanks to my brother and sister-in-law. That was incredible. Amy Grant was such a huge inspiration to me, especially when I was a young Christian, and it was such an amazing reminder of all that God has brought me through over the years. Not to mention that it was Easter weekend and to be able to hear someone give thanks to Jesus in such a beautiful way was almost too beautiful to put into words.

As for our Easter, we got up early and watched the kids ravage their easter candy (goldfish in Asher’s eggs). Then we let them have a little Easter egg hunt in the backyard and if I can figure out how to upload video here, I’ll do that. It was hilarious to us as their parents, though I’m not sure anyone else would find Amai’s enthusiasm and Asher’s confusion quite as funny. It was fun. Then we hurried off to an awesome sermon at Grace and came back to crash for Asher’s naptime. It was a great day- and I am reminded and humbled every year by remembering the sacrifice Christ made for me and the victory I can celebrate because of His resurrection.

We got a few pics of Asher in his Easter outfit- Amai was too fast in her wardrobe change. I’ll shoot some of both of them later so we can have a record of her darling dress.
